I've been needlepointing since my teenage years! So off and on all this time through the years. And a little cross-stitch thrown in too.
Needlepoint still gives me the same comfort, that warm cozy feeling it did from the very beginning. I can thank my sister Lisa in Louisiana for getting me back into it last year! We have been enjoying each other's photos and texts across the miles and many chats on the phone about it all. I can't believe how huge needlepoint is these days!
All of this has led be to begin designing and painting my own canvases. I have a fine art/oil painting background and that seems to wind up in some of my designs. I want to continue designing nature-inspired canvases.
I am hoping to get my canvases in a few shops and continue to bring the needlepoint community canvases that might be a little different from what is in the market. I know my fine art background in painting can do just that.
